Not So Merry Men - An Outlaw Solo-RPG

Not So Merry Men is a bit of a proof-of-concept for an idea I had much earlier in the year about what it would actually feel like living as an outlaw or vagabond. In Europe, we see a lot of very romantic fiction about this lifestyle but I really, genuinely think it would be harrowing and impossible to actually live like that. So, I made a little game about it.

Marvel at how fate constantly screws you over and demands of you things you can barely achieve, note how the only way for things to get better is for you to progressively commit more and more dangerous crimes, and how in the end even if you do survive you have a slim-to-none chance of actually taking your life back.

Inside you'll find the rulebook for the singleplayer journaling roleplaying experience about living through all of this day by day. 

This is still definitely a demo version of the rules though, I plan some day to actually publish this in paper and try to sell it in small games shops but for that I would need more concrete rules and mechanics. When this project first started, that's what it was like and I just got so bogged down in it I stopped enjoying it. So I stripped it all down and went for something much more atmospheric. It was definitely the right choice.
